Our work to improve the lives of the people of Nepal is made possible by the amazing support that we receive from our donors & funders.
Pahar Trust Nepal is a charity that was established by two ex-servicemen of the Brigade of Gurkhas in 1993. Tom Langridge MBE and Chandra Bahadur Gurung, who both served as Warrant Officers in the Queen's Gurkha Engineers, wanted to help improve the poor standards of education found in Nepal's mountain region. To improve education, health and sanitation facilities for remote communities in Nepal. Providing some of the world's poorest children with a high standard of education.
To provide students with an environment to study that is safe while removing practical, social and cultural barriers to education.
They are built in a location, and to a specification based on an extensive consultation with the local population and in line with Nepali Government regulations.
